As a duo Job and Hiske perform songs which are familiar to many, but performed in the spirit of the jazz musician. There are always surprises around the corner for the listener, and even for Job and Hiske themselves. This is because they continuously challenge each other to go the next level. But their focus remains on taking the audience through a journey of beautiful pop and jazz songs that will touch their hearts and souls. In both concerts and theater stages, but also in more intimate settings where people come to enjoy each others company as well as some good music.

Job Posthuma studied jazz guitar at the Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen. In the years after he was a familiar face in the Dutch ‘‘pop scene’’ where he played with (inter)national known artists. Nowadays he follows his heart and combines his 4 big loves: blues, groove, beautiful songs and jazz, with which he aims to make meaningful music that touches. Hiske Oosterwijk, also a Prince Clause Conservatory graduate, likes to join in on that. She’s active in several different projects, composes her own music, writes lyrics and teaches vocals. Where Hiske stood on many stages all around the world, from band to orchestra, she also loves the intimate setting of guitar and voice.

Shjazz
